No. You're confused by being here, so therefore you're a new arrival. The technology here isn't that strange, so if you're surprised by it, you must be from the past, or at least the past relative to what this place considers modern day... Plus very few people seem to find people they know here. So, I'm not confusing you with anyone else I know.
